FAQ

  • What is your rescheduling & cancellation policy?

Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. After that, the change will be considered a cancellation and subject to the cancellation policy

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service, which is non-transferable and cannot be applied to future appointments.

To ensure the highest quality of service for every client, appointments that are more than 15 minutes late will be forfeited and late cancellation fee will be applied.

  • What results may be expected from HydraFacial?

The Hydrafacial treatment is designed for all skin types. The treatment is completely personalized for your unique skin concerns and goals.

Clients may see immediate, visible glow and increased hydration after just one treatment, lasting 5-7 days or longer.

  • Is there downtime after a HydraFacial or peel?

    HydraFacials have no downtime.
Some chemical peels may cause light flaking or redness for a few days, depending on the peel used. Martina will always recommend the treatment that best fits your skin and schedule.

  • How many HydraFacial treatments are needed to see results?

You will see your skin glow right away! One Hydrafacial treatment per month is recommended to achieve more advanced results addressing core skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, acne, and dehydrated skin.

  • How often should I get each treatment?

Most clients benefit from a facial every 4–6 weeks, which matches the natural skin renewal cycle.

Treatments like HydraFacial are ideal for monthly maintenance, while corrective treatments like peels may be recommended in a series.

For Dermaplaning, every 4–6 weeks is ideal to maintain a consistently smooth, radiant complexion

  • Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?

No! Hair grows back at the same rate and texture as before. It simply removes fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) and dead skin for a smoother surface

  • I’m not sure which facial to book. What should I choose?

If you’re unsure, book “Not Sure What to Book? Facial.” This appointment includes a professional skin analysis and a fully customized facial tailored to your skin’s needs.

  • Can I get a facial if I have Botox or filler?

Yes. Facials can complement injectables beautifully. If you’ve had Botox or filler recently, we typically recommend waiting 7–14 days before receiving certain treatments. When in doubt, ask before booking.

  • What should I avoid before a facial?

Avoid for 3–5 days before your appointment:

    • retinoids
    • strong exfoliants
    • waxing or laser treatments
    • excessive sun exposure

  • What should I avoid after a chemical peel?

    Avoid for 48–72 hours:

    • heavy workouts
    • heat/saunas
    • retinoids or exfoliants
    • direct sun exposure

    Always wear SPF.

  • Are peels safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Gentle options like the Gentle Renewal Peel or Arctic Berry Radiance Peel Facial can be safe, but we always confirm ingredients beforehand to ensure full safety

  • How far in advance should I start prepping my skin for a wedding or event?

For the best results, we recommend starting your skincare treatments 3–6 months before your wedding day. This allows enough time to address concerns such as texture, pigmentation, and breakouts while creating a consistent glow leading up to your big day.

If your wedding is sooner, Martina can recommend a customized treatment plan to help your skin look its best.

  • Do you offer treatment packages or memberships?

Yes. Martina Skin Atelier offers curated packages and memberships designed to help clients maintain glowing skin year-round while saving on treatments.

  • Do you treat sensitive skin or rosacea?

Yes. Most treatments can be customized for sensitive skin. Martina will adjust exfoliation levels, products, and techniques to keep the skin calm and healthy.
